Fast definitions for the market and recommendation language inside Diamond Pulse.
Where a card sits among everyone who plays its spot. The game’s OVR is nearly position-blind, so a strong catcher and a strong first baseman print the same number. Why this is a separate number.
The gap between Buy Now and Sell Now. Bigger spread can create flip room, but it can also mean thin or unstable demand.
The lowest current listing price. This is what a buyer pays to get the card immediately.
The highest current buy order. This is the instant-sale price before marketplace tax.
The estimated stubs you keep after marketplace tax if you list near the Buy Now price.
The market value you give up by locking a card into a collection instead of selling it.
A card that cannot be listed on the market. Diamond Pulse removes sell and flip paths for these cards.
A directional model score. It helps sort likely movement, but it is not a guarantee.

Why do some cards score above 99?
The game stops counting at 99, so its best cards all print the same number and you cannot tell them apart. Pulse Rating rebuilds the game’s own rating from a card’s attributes and leaves the ceiling off, so those cards separate. It is not our opinion of a card and it has nothing to do with price — the full method and every weight are published.
Why does a no-sell card change the recommendation?
No-sell cards cannot be listed or sold on the Community Market, so Diamond Pulse removes market-sale and flip paths and focuses on squad value, collection value, exchange value, or quick-sell floor.
What is collection opportunity cost?
It is the usable stub value you give up when you lock a sellable card into a collection. Diamond Pulse compares that lock cost against your goal, ownership state, no-sell status, and squad need before recommending collect, hold, sell, or keep liquid.
How does the Advisor work out its answer?
It prices every path a card has — sell, collect, keep, flip, quick sell — from the live marketplace and the Pulse Rating, then weighs those against the settings you choose under Your situation. Nothing sits behind a score you have to take on trust: open any path on the Card Advisor and it shows its arithmetic line by line.
What is the difference between the Pulse Rating and a card’s own ratings?
The Pulse Rating is ours. It rebuilds a card’s overall from its attributes without the game’s 99 ceiling and ranks it against every other card at that position. A card’s own ratings are what the game gives it — contact, power, fielding, speed — and the Advisor shows those too, next to how the real player has actually been hitting or pitching.
Why do manual prices matter?
Usually they do not, and the Advisor no longer asks for one. But the marketplace read sometimes comes back empty for a card, and then nothing on the page can be priced. When that happens the Advisor says so plainly and offers a single box: put in what you believe it is worth and every path re-prices off your number instead of a guess of ours.

What does Market Pulse measure?
Market Pulse ranks cards by directional marketplace signals such as price level, buy-sell spread, rarity, quick-sell floor, and listing pressure. It is a decision aid, not a guaranteed prediction.
Why does the Roster Command not show every card?
The Roster Command focuses on Live Series cards because those are most tied to roster updates and real-world performance. Non-Live cards can still be searched in the advisor and market tools.
